Be neutral

Laban set his heart on doing his son-in-law/nephew harm, but God prevented that from happening,

But God had come to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said to him, “Be careful that you speak to Jacob neither good nor bad” (Genesis 31.24).

Laban then knew that he was not only dealing with Jacob, but with Jacob’s God, and you do not hurt God’s people. However, many people have over the ages, and having never repented they will discover the awful price for having done so when they meet God in the Judgment.

There is a time to take a stand and there is a time to remain neutral. If you have not yet become a child of God, and if you are not ready to become one yet, be sure that you do not seek to harm them.

Questions:

  • Have you harmed God’s people?
  • Has someone harmed you?
