01.18.2017 – New Testament: Matt 13.52
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 13.33–58 on January 18, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Jesus spoke parables and asked His disciples whether they understood what He taught, to which they said, Yes. Then He said to them,
“Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old” (Matthew 13.52).
A scribe, one who writes out the Scripture and does other important writing, may not necessarily receive the instruction of that which he writes, but if he does, he has increased his treasure.
Questions:
- Do you receive instruction concerning living in the kingdom of heaven?
- How can you serve God in your employment?
