Jesus fed four thousand men, plus women and children, with seven loaves of bread and a few fish by multiplying them miraculously. What happened after the people ate provides evidence of the miracle,

So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left (Matthew 15.37). 

You do not get seven large baskets full of fragments from seven loaves of bread and a few fish, unless a multiplication of the food has taken place! This action verified the miracle of Jesus, and it also showed His efficiency in not letting anything go to waste.
