01.31.2017 – New Testament: Matt 21.20
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 21.1–22 on January 31, In the year of our Lord 2017

Jesus came upon a fig tree that no longer served its purpose, for it had leaves, but no fruit. Therefore, He declared that no fruit would ever grow on it again. Having said that, the tree suddenly withered,
And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?” (Matthew 21.20).
The disciples had already seen three and a half years worth of miracles. Yet, this fascinated them. Were they slow to comprehend the true identity of Jesus, or did the nature of miracles just continue to fascinate people who had already seen countless miracles?
Questions:
- How many wonders of God have you seen in nature?
- Do you get tired of seeing them?
I think the reason maybe that He had never commanded a plant in front of them before. I see wonders all the time, just go outside, look at the sky, its surroundings, water, food. God did prepare this place for us, that’s a miracle in itself. Nothing can be made by man that God didn’t already provide for our use.

I guess His miracles had been done on people. So I see your point. Thanks for the insight.
