02.09.2017 – New Testament: Matt 25.46
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 25.31–46 on February 9, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Jesus revealed that at the Judgment, He shall separate people from one another, according to whether they have shown love to others. After separating those who loved from those who did not love, He explains how one group failed to show love and how the other group succeeded in showing love. Then He declares the destiny for each,
“And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life” (Matthew 25.46).
Those who failed to show love to their brethren will go away from Him into punishment that never ceases, and those who succeeded in showing love to their brethren will have the blessed experience of joining Jesus for eternity.
