02.16.2017 – New Testament: Mark 1.21
To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 1.1–22 on February 16, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
It has always baffled me when I find Christians who see no need to assemble with the saints every week, for you see, our Master, the Lord Jesus Christ made a habit of meeting with the brethren when He dwelt on the Earth,
Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught (Mark 1.21).
Can you picture Jesus coming to the Earth, but not caring to assemble with His brethren? If He would want to assemble with His fellow-Israelites, why would His disciples dismiss the weekly assembly as non-important?
Questions:
- Do you worship with the church whenever you can?
- If not, how would you explain your intentional absence to Jesus?
Well said. Hebrews 2:12 compliments your thoughts.

It befuddles me that some of the followers of Jesus do not want to do as He did, and be with their brethren whenever possible.
