Those of you who know the Apostles Song, did you start to sing it when you read the title of today’s devotional? I will put the words to the song at the end of today’s devotional. With these twelve men, Jesus changed the world in ways that no one, including the apostles, could have ever imagined. Mark gives us the names of these men,

Simon, to whom He gave the name Peter; James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, to whom He gave the name Boanerges, that is, “Sons of Thunder”; Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananite; and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And they went into a house (Mark 3.16–19).

Unfortunately, Judas cut himself off from the most powerful force ever to launch on the Earth.

Questions:

  • Who is your favorite apostle?
  • What is it that you like about him?

The Apostles Song
