02.26.2017 – Old Testament: Num 16.22
To read the Bible in a year, read Numbers 16–17 on February 26, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Several men sinned against the Lord, and the rest of Israel backed those men. Therefore, the Lord spoke to Moses, telling him to separate himself and his brother from the congregation, and the Lord would consume the congregation instantly. However, the two brothers pleaded for Israel,
Then they fell on their faces, and said, “O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and You be angry with all the congregation?” (Numbers 16.22).
Likewise, you have seen others, perhaps people you love, sin. You can intercede for them by humbling yourself before God, acknowledging who He is, and reasoning with Him.
Questions:
- Have you interceded for anyone before God?
- Have you asked someone to intercede for you?
