The Lord told Israel plainly what they would suffer, if they did not obey the Lord. Part of the curses they would experience, would be these two things,

“The LORD will strike you with the boils of Egypt, with tumors, with the scab, and with the itch, from which you cannot be healed. The LORD will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of heart” (Deuteronomy 28.27–28). 

The Lord would strike them outwardly in the body and inwardly in the spirit. It was not simply medical problems nor psychological, but the root was the spirit and their attitude toward the Creator Himself.

Is your nation suffering these things? Is it time to look at the matter spiritually? Is it time to see if your countrymen have offended the God of Heaven?
