04.28.2017 – New Testament: Luke 21.29
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 21.20–38 on April 28, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Jesus began a parable by saying,
“Look at the fig tree, and all the trees” (Luke 21.29).
He then went on to make a spiritual lesson, saying that the budding of the fig tree indicated the nearness of the kingdom of God. However, that is not the only lesson we can learn from trees. The Holy Spirit used trees throughout His word to teach many things. When you observe a tree, think of what you can learn from it, and whether the Bible backs up your thought.
- What lessons about life have you learned from trees?
- Does the spiritual world reflect the natural world or does the natural world reflect the spiritual world?
