I have been reading, meditating upon, and studying the Bible since 1976, and the wonders of the Scriptures never stop showing themselves to me. For example, a new thought occurred to me when I read the following,

“But behold, the hand of My betrayer is with Me on the table. And truly the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!” (Luke 22.21–22).

Jesus willingly sat at the same table as the man who would betray Him that night, Jesus knew fully what that man would do! Yet, Jesus did nothing to stop the man nor to harm him. Jesus was fearless. Jesus was compassionate. Jesus lived by the will of God, and if the Father so willed that Jesus sit down with His betrayer, then Jesus would do it!

Questions:

  • Do you think as Jesus does?
  • If not, what do you need to change?
