05.04.2017 – Old Testament: 1Ki 8.27
To read the Bible in a year, read First Kings 8–9 on May 4, In the year of our Lord 2017

As Solomon dedicated the temple with a prayer, he contemplated the grandeur of the house he had built for God, but realized also that as the true and living God, a manmade temple certainly could not contain Him,
“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!” (1 Kings 8.27).
How grand is the Earth? How grand is Heaven, and the Heaven of heavens? If they cannot contain God, truly a tiny house made by man cannot contain God! Nothing can contain God, although He can be anywhere He so desires.
Questions:
- What is your image of God?
- If you can go somewhere, can He go there also?
