We need grace, for we have sinned against the God of Heaven, our Creator. We also need grace as we struggle and agonize through this life. Praise the Lord though, we have a magnificent source for the grace we need. Speaking of Jesus of Nazareth, John the apostle wrote,
And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ (John 1.16–17).
Jesus has not withheld His grace from anyone, but gives it freely to anyone who desires it. He gives His grace along with His truth. We cannot separate grace and truth, for grace without truth loses its guide and truth without grace loses its compassion and zeal.
- Do you avail yourself of the grace of Jesus?
- Do you know how to help others experience grace?
