What would it be like to have your name in the Bible? Yet, I do not think any of us would want his or her name in the Bible as a wicked person, like Ahab was named,
But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the LORD, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up. And he behaved very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites had done, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel (1 Kings 21.25–26).
Ahab wanted to do the things that he did, but he also let his wife encourage him in his selling of himself to do evil. This is not a good way to get your name listed before the Lord.
Rather determine to do what is right and find people who will encourage you to do what is right.
- How have you determined to live your life?
- Are your friends the ones who will encourage you to live a good life?
