The disciples of John grew concerned that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John did. However, John spoke in support of Jesus, declaring,

“The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand” (John 3.35).

God the Father loves His Son. How do I know that the Father loves the Son? I know because the Father has given all things into the hand of the Son. The Father loves us, but not in the same way that He loves the Son, because everything that belongs to the Father belongs to the Son.

Questions:

  • What do you think of the relationship between God the Father and Jesus Christ?
  • Do you love the Father?
