We are all family

Acts Bible Background

07.13.2017 New Testament: Acts 17.26a

To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 17.16–34 on July 13, In the year of our Lord 2017

By Don Ruhl

Paul revealed something to the Athenian philosophers, that all Bible-readers should know, that according to the flesh, we all belong to the same family, because we have all descended from one man and one woman,

“And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth…” (Acts 17.26a).

As you see people today, realize that everyone you see has descended from the one man and the one woman whom God created in the beginning. If we could trace our genealogies back far enough, we would find a common ancestor, and we would not even have to go back as far as Adam and Eve, but we only need to go back as far as Mr. and Mrs. Noah.
