07.25.2017 – Old Testament: Psa 45.1
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 44–46 on July 25, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
As you read Psalm 45, it becomes obvious that the psalmist spoke of the Messiah, whom we know as the Christ, and the psalm speaks of His bride the church. It does not surprise us to hear how the Psalm begins,
My heart is overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
The writer knew the King and wanted to write of Him and His bride. See the love that Christ has for His bride as you read the Psalm.
- Are you part of the bride of Christ, the church?
- Do you know what you can do to make the church beautiful for Christ? (See Ephesians 5.22–33 and Revelation 19.8.)
