How can we describe our amazing God? He often blesses us through the means that we use to sin. You can see the ultimate example of that in the death of Jesus. Man killed Jesus violently, but God used that blood to save us! Consider what Paul said to the Corinthians,
For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming (1 Corinthians 15.21–23).
A man, Adam, brought sin into the world and thereby death, the loss of life, but God used a Man, His blessed Son who took on human form, to bring life back into the world, giving us the hope of the resurrection.
Questions:
- What other ways has Jesus blessed us as a Man?
- Do you think of Jesus more as a man or as God?
