09.26.2017 – Old Testament: Isa 7.18–19
To read the Bible in a year, read Isaiah 7–9 on September 26, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
God can call the smallest thing, such as an insect, from one part of the world to dwell in another part of the world, although the insect seems insignificant to us,
And it shall come to pass in that day
That the LORD will whistle for the fly
That is in the farthest part of the rivers of Egypt,
And for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
They will come, and all of them will rest
In the desolate valleys and in the clefts of the rocks,
And on all thorns and in all pastures.
(Isaiah 7.18–19)
He can call the fly out of Egypt and bring it to Israel or He can call the bee from Assyria to Israel and do His will.
Do not underestimate what God can do, even if you do not think much of it.
Questions:
- How much larger are you than a fly or a bee?
- Does God know all the flies and bees of the earth?
- Does He know you?
