As Christians, we want to make sure that our behavior never causes anyone to blaspheme the Lord or His word. Therefore, Paul gave instructions to different groups within the church on how they should act, including the older women,
…the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things—that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed (Titus 2.3–5).
Always remember that the Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Bible that they might write the truth. We do not need to deny His word by the way that we live.
- If you are an old woman in the church, do you teach the younger women?
- If you are a younger woman in the church, do you listen to what the older woman say?
