11.28.2017 – Old Testament: Eze 40.44–46
To read the Bible in a year, read Ezekiel 40 on November 28, In the year of our Lord 2017

Ezekiel 40 begins what we call Ezekiel’s Temple, the temple that the Lord showed the prophet. Not everyone is sure about the meaning of this temple. We do note in Ezekiel 40.44–46 these words,
Outside the inner gate were the chambers for the singers in the inner court, one facing south at the side of the northern gateway, and the other facing north at the side of the southern gateway. Then he said to me, “This chamber which faces south is for the priests who have charge of the temple. The chamber which faces north is for the priests who have charge of the altar; these are the sons of Zadok, from the sons of Levi, who come near the LORD to minister to Him” (Ezekiel 40.44–46).
In this temple, the Lord showed the importance of singers and priests to Him. It was that way in ancient Israel and it is that way in the modern church. Christians are both singers and priests, and that pleases Him. Let us please Him with all that is within us.
