01.13.2018 – New Testament: Matt 10.42
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 10.24–42 on January 13, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
You did something for someone last year, but it was so small in your eyes, that you have already forgotten about it. However, the Lord did not forget,
“And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward” (Matthew 10.42).
Therefore, look for ways to help someone, even something as simple as giving a greeting or holding open a door. Jesus promises that you will not lose your reward. If that is the case, let us do good unto others constantly, for the more we do, the more He will reward us!
Questions:
- Do you do good things for other people or do you wait for them to do good toward you?
- Do you have the heart of a servant?
