Jesus silenced the Sadducees. Then He silenced the Pharisees. While the Pharisees tried to figure out what to do next, He asked them a question,
While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, saying, “What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?” They said to Him, “The Son of David” (Matthew 22.41–42).
They were right, but they had not thought about what else the Christ was to David. As the rest of the story shows, the Christ is also David’s Lord! Now how can that be?
Questions:
- Do you believe with all your heart that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God?
- If you do believe that, do you know that qualifies you for baptism?
