The enemies of Jesus accused Him of casting demons out of people by the power of Satan. However, He questioned,

“How can Satan cast out Satan?” (Mark 3.23).

The answer is that Satan would not cast himself or one of his helpers out of a person. He has interest in building his kingdom, not in knowingly tearing it down. The enemies of Jesus did not think before they spoke, which is always a bad idea.
