02.21.2018 – Old Testament: Num 6.21
To read the Bible in a year, read Numbers 5–6 on February 21, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
The Lord allowed Israelites to make a special vow to Him called the Nazirite Vow. He specified how they would carry out the vow and then said this,
“This is the law of the Nazirite who vows to the LORD the offering for his separation, and besides that, whatever else his hand is able to provide; according to the vow which he takes, so he must do according to the law of his separation” (Numbers 6.21).
He gave the Israelites His all and when they wanted to do something special for Him, they could give their all in this Nazirite Vow by following the guidelines that He provided, but then He also said that they could provide whatever else their hands were able.
Questions:
- Do you give the Lord whatever you can?
- Do you serve Him halfheartedly or with a full heart?
