When someone visits your town, don’t you like to show them the impressive sights? Come to Grants Pass, Oregon, and I will show you the wonders of Southern Oregon. Yet, someday the impressive shall not be so impressive, as Jesus told His disciples,
Then as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, “Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!” And Jesus answered and said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down” (Mark 13.1–2).
In fact, what Jesus prophesied would happen about 40 years later. He sent the Romans in who destroyed Jerusalem and the magnificent temple. Those stones and great buildings, the Romans would bring down totally.
Someday, all the wonders where you live shall cease to be, including the place where I live. Are you prepared for that Day?
Questions:
