We know that Jesus taught we will receive when we ask, but Caleb’s daughter had never heard the teaching of Jesus, nevertheless, she knew that you receive when you ask,
Now it was so, when she came to him, that she persuaded him to ask her father for a field. So she dismounted from her donkey, and Caleb said to her, “What do you wish?” She answered, “Give me a blessing; since you have given me land in the South, give me also springs of water.” So he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs (Joshua 15.18–19).
First, ask of God. Then, you may need to ask a person involved. Ask and they might give to you. They cannot know your every need, for they have their own lives to live, but ask and see what happens.
Questions:
- Do you ask from God the things that you need?
- Do you give thanks to Him when He gives to you?
