04.28.2018 – New Testament: Luke 21.30–31
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 21.20–38 on April 28, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
As Jesus foretold of the destruction of Jerusalem, He also wanted them to know of the connection with the kingdom of God. Speaking of the fig tree, He said,
“When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near” (Luke 21.30–31).
Here is the thing: Whatever situation is going on around us, we should always think of the kingdom of God, for that is the reason this earth continues to exist.
Questions:
- How often do you think of the kingdom of God?
- Are you a citizen in God’s kingdom?
