The Creator took on a body and allowed evil men to torture Him to death and He allowed good people to handle His body after His death:

Then they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in strips of linen with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury (John 19.40).

Think on that for a while. They took the body of the Creator, bound it in strips of linen—lined with spices, as they prepared His body for burial. They would bury the Creator. Would you just let the profundity of that sink into your heart.

• Do you think on whom they actually buried?
• Why did He subject Himself to such treatment?
