07.10.2018 – New Testament: Acts 16.15
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 16.1–15 on July 10, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
Once people have been converted to Christ, they need to realize that they should start giving and not be on the receiving end all the time. Look what Lydia did after she was baptized:
And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” So she persuaded us (Acts 16.15).
We get concerned about keeping new converts, so we do many things for them to persuade them to stay, but once they have converted to Christ, they need to start showing their love for the new family they have entered.
Questions:
- How do you show the people in your congregation that you love them?
- Are you always on the receiving end or do you give of yourself to others?
