The church at Corinth had a brother who had married his father’s wife (thus his step-mother). What was their attitude about this?

And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you (1 Corinthians 5.2).

Unbelievable! They gloried in having a member of the church there who had done such a thing. Perhaps they thought of themselves as progressive and simply living under the grace of God.
