10.03.2018 – New Testament: Eph 5.18–21
To read the Bible in a year, read Ephesians 5 on October 3, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
The Spirit is not about doing miracles, but changing lives. Read carefully how Paul encouraged the Ephesian Christians to be filled with the Spirit and the evidence that would show that they were filled with the Spirit:
And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God (Ephesians 5.18–21).
If you are filled with the Spirit, you will speak to your brethren in spiritual songs, you will give thanks for all things, and you will submit to the members of the church.
Questions:
- Is it obvious that the Spirit fills your life?
- If not, what do you need to do to change?
