Is it possible to reach a point in your life when you no longer have to pray? I think I know what you answered, and I know what Paul would say:
Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5.17).
Therefore, pray during the day and pray at night. Pray when you are glad and pray when you are sad. Pray during prosperity and pray during adversity.
Whatever season of life you are in, pray relentlessly!
