God avenges us of our enemies

Revelation Bible Background

12.27.2018 – New Testament: Rev 18.20

To read the Bible in a year, read Revelation 18 on December 27, In the year of our Lord Christ 2018

By Don Ruhl

The apostate church became a huge problem for the faithful church, and Jesus had John write the Book of Revelation to let His people know that the Lord would bring down what He called Babylon, and when that event happens, He wants everyone to rejoice:

“Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!” (Revelation 18.20).

There is a time for mourning, and there is a time for rejoicing, and blessed is he who knows when the time for mourning is and when the time for rejoicing is. The fall of the true church’s enemy is a time for rejoicing.

Questions:

  • Do you think that God has ignored you?
  • Do you always keep Him first in your mind?
