The Lord Jesus was behind the writing of every book of the Bible, but as He was about to finish up His written word, He had John write these words down as a personal message from Jesus:

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star” (Revelation 22.16).

Here Jesus stated what He did, that He sent an angel who revealed these things to John. Who is Jesus? He is the Root and Offspring of David; Jesus is the Bright and Morning Star. He has the authority to speak the words that we read in the Scriptures, and in this case, especially the Book of Revelation, and He wants you to read every word and to know His will.
