You know that we can learn much from the Bible, that is why you subscribe to these email devotionals, but we can also learn from the Lord’s natural creation. To teach us not to worry about the necessities of life, Jesus said:

“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (Matthew 6.26).

If we are of more value than the birds of the air, and our heavenly Father feeds them, will He not see that we have what we need? Why then do we worry about our lives? Does the worrying do any good? Perhaps we worry because we think it shows that we care, but all that it does is bother the people around us and shows God that we believe He cannot take care of us.

Questions:

  • Do you worry?
  • How have you tried to stop?
  • Have you tried making observations of nature?
