02.02.2019 – New Testament: Matt 22.22
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 22.1–22 on February 2, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019

Jesus had just answered the Pharisees brilliantly when they asked Him whether they should pay taxes to Caesar or not. Then Matthew says:
When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way (Matthew 22.22).
Perhaps they should have stayed with Him and learned more, but He had told them that they should pay taxes, and they did not want to hear any more that He had to say. So, while they marveled at His reasoning, they went away because they only sought to destroy Him, not to believe Him.
Questions:
- How do you react to the words of Jesus?
- Do you ever disagree with Him?
