A scribe asked Jesus what was the first commandment above all the others. Mark wrote:

Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one’” (Mark 12.29).

If you had never read that before, how would you have answered the scribe’s question? Now that you know how Jesus answered the question, do you keep that first commandment?
