In what should we boast?

2 Corinthians Bible Background

09.18.2019 – New Testament: 2Co 10.17

To read the Bible in a year, read Second Corinthians 10 on September 18, In the year of our Lord 2019

By Don Ruhl

Paul declared that he would not boast in another man’s accomplishment as though Paul had done it. Rather he said;

But “he who glories, let him glory in the LORD.”

– 2 Corinthians 10.17

Paul quoted Jeremiah 9.24, showing that what the prophet said still applies. We should glory in the Lord, because He is the one who makes all things possible. Why then should I brag on myself?

Questions:

  • Even if you have worked hard on something, do you still glorify the Lord?
  • What place do you see the Lord occupying in your life?
