10.29.2019 – New Testament: 2Ti 3.8–9
To read the Bible in a year, read Second Timothy 3 on October 29, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019
By Don Ruhl
Some resist the truth, although it is a futile effort. Paul prophesied that the church would see people resisting the truth and he showed that such was nothing new, for even in the days of Moses people resisted the truth:
Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.
– 2 Timothy 3.8–9
You will know when you have run into such people by their resistance to the truth and you will see their corrupt minds and you will see that the faith disapproves of them. Eventually their folly will manifest itself.
Questions:
- Have you seen this happen?
- What did you do when the false teachers did become manifest?
