Old Testament: Gen 1.31
To read the Bible in a year, read Genesis 1–2 on January 1, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
On the sixth day of creation, the last day of creation, God looked at His creation and saw that it was very good. This was especially true after He had created the woman for the man, because as Moses would write later, God had looked at man and saw that it was not good that he was alone.
Therefore, Moses wrote the following as a conclusion to his chronological record of the creation:
Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
– Genesis 1.31
Having created the earth and all things on it, the thing that needed to be done next was to determine what the man and woman would do in this perfection creation.
- How do you imagine the earth looked at the end of the creation week?
- Why do you think God created everything in six days rather than six seconds or some other amount of time?
