New Testament: Matt 12.40

Jonah probably did not know it but his experience in the belly of that great fish, that God had prepared to swallow the prophet, turned out to be a sign:
“For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”
– Matthew 12.40
The people who heard Jesus speak undoubtedly did not know that He prophesied of His resurrection. Yes, He would die, but death could not contain Him, for He has the keys of death and of Hades, and He can open the gates of Hades whenever He desires and return to the earth, which is what He did, showing Him to be the Son of God.
Questions:
- Why do you believe that Jesus rose from the dead?
- Are you anticipating your own resurrection?
