New Testament: Mark 1.5
To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 1.1–22 on February 16, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020

How many times have you heard it said that if a church is large, it must be liberal? Do you believe that yourself? If a large church automatically means that it is liberal, then John the Baptist must have been liberal.
When John appeared preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, Mark showed us this:
Then all the land of Judea, and those from Jerusalem, went out to him and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.
– Mark 1.5
If John had lived today, some preachers and members of the church would have labeled him liberal. Oh, but wait, some did oppose John during his days. Does that make people today equal to John’s enemies?
Large numbers or small numbers do not determine whether something is acceptable to the Lord. Learn to think as He does.
- Do we have to baptize in a river like John did?
- People went to John from where?
