New Testament: Mark 1.23–24
To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 1.23–45 on February 17, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
Jesus entered a synagogue and a man with an unclean spirit confronted Jesus (Mark 1.23), and cried out:
“Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”
– Mark 1.24
Evil spirits knew the identity of Jesus and they knew what He would eventually do to them.
Are we better than demons? If so, we will know the identity of Jesus and we will know that He will return in judgment some day, but to make ourselves better than demons, we have to obey Jesus that we might not be destroyed in the end.
- What did the unclean spirit confess about Jesus?
- From what town did Jesus come?
