Riches can be a great blessing or they can keep you from heaven. It depends upon what you think of those riches. Jesus once said:

“But woe to you who are rich,
For you have received your consolation.”

– Luke 6.24

If you live for your riches, if your riches are your god, if your life depends upon your riches, then Jesus said you have already received your consolation, which means that after this life is over, you will not receive anything else.

Questions:

  • What are your riches?
  • What does “woe” mean?
