New Testament: John 6.34–35
To read the Bible in a year, read John 6.22–44 on May 17, In the year of our Lord 2020
By Don Ruhl
Jesus told thousands of people that the Father gave them the true bread, which comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world,
Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
– John 6.34–35
They expected bread like the fathers received during the Wilderness Wanderings, but Jesus declared to them, that He is the bread of life. If we want life, we must partake of Him, and we will never hunger again, nor thirst in the spirit.
- Are you taking Jesus fully into yourself?
- Are you holding something back?
- Is there a part of Jesus that you do not want in you or in your life?
