New Testament: Acts 4.1–2
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 4.1–22 on June 19, In the year of our Lord 2020
By Don Ruhl
When I read the first couple of verses of Acts 4, I say to myself, Nothing has changed:
Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
– Acts 4.1–2
What happens today if our society hears the teaching and the preaching of Jesus Christ and His resurrection, or anything about Him? It disturbs people greatly and they do all they can to stop it.
Questions:
- What will you do when people tell you that you cannot teach Christianity?
- If our nation passed a law forbidding us from preaching Jesus, would we be guilty of breaking the law or are we not preaching Him anyway?
