New Testament: Rom 7.12
To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 7 on August 6, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
Perhaps in an effort to show how the Law of Christ has superseded the Law of Moses, some teachers will speak against the Law of Moses and criticize it, but in so doing they speak against the Law of God that He had delivered through Moses.
However, consider what Paul said. After Paul explained why the Lord gave the Law of Moses, the apostle then said:
Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.
– Romans 7.12
If you speak against the Law, you have not understood the New Testament properly, because the New Testament labeled the Law as holy, just, and good. If you have spoken against it, reassess why you made that conclusion and speak as the Bible speaks.
Questions:
- What do you say about the Law of Moses?
- Why did the Law of Christ replace the Law of Moses according to Romans 7?
