Old Testament: Psa 90.15–17
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 90–92 on August 11, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
Psalm 90 is the psalm in which Moses prayed to God that He teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom, because troubles plague our lives. Moses also wrote in Psalm 90:
Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us,
The years in which we have seen evil.
Let Your work appear to Your servants,
And Your glory to their children.
And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us,
And establish the work of our hands for us;
Yes, establish the work of our hands.
– Psalm 90.15–17
We experience affliction during our days but we also need the Lord to show us the way of gladness so that affliction does not swallow us up. Therefore, we want the Lord to make His word appear to us, and His glory. If He does those things, His beauty will be upon us and our works shall be established.
- Do you live so that others can see the beauty of the Lord in your life?
- Do you see His work in your life?
