People shall see and hear

Romans Bible Background

New Testament: Rom 15.21

To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 15.21–33 on August 17, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020

By Don Ruhl

Paul preached where others had not preached before, in fulfillment of Scripture. He said,

“To whom He was not announced, they shall see;
And those who have not heard shall understand.”

– Romans 15.21

These words did not originate with Paul, but he quoted Isaiah 52.15. Jesus first appeared to the Jews, but then He commissioned apostles, such as Paul, who would go to other places where the people had never heard of Jesus or had not heard of anything about God.

Jesus died 1,989 years ago, but you can still find places where people have not heard of Him. Please pray to God that He send preachers to those people.
